Back Country Safety

1. Let a responsible person know where you are going.
2. Always be prepared for the weather and location. It is good to make and take along a survival kit, as well as plenty of water.
3. Always hike and explore with a buddy.
4. If lost, stay calm. Panic can cause a person to wander, making rescue difficult or unsuccessful.

The Owyhee Watershed Council's educational activities are supported by the
Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
